About this site:
This page contains links to sites that were selected by the editors of Children's Technology Review (CTR). For complete ownership information, please see the disclaimer. The links were selected based on the following criteria:

  • Each Topic Starts With a Child's Question. We begin by listening to children, asking them "what would you like to learn more about?"
  • Teacher-Selected, Developmentally Appropriate Links. LittleClickers sites are selected by one of the editors of Children's Technology Review. Each editor is both a classroom teacher and is a parent. Selected sites must have text that is clear and easy to read, and content that is right on target for elementary age children.
  • No Tricks, No Gimmicks. We link to pages with minimal or no advertising that have stronger than average educational value. We never link to sites that trap children in loops, use pop-up advertising techniques, have a strong sales agenda, or that will load your computer with cookies.
  • A Balance Between Fun and Learning. There is always something fascinating, educational, and fun in every column.
  • One, Clearly Identified, Independent Sponsor. LittleClickers is sponsored by Computer Explorers, a children's technology education franchise who meets our objectivity guidelines (e.g., is not associated with a site that may be listed). Besides the CE logo on each page, there is no sponsored content.
  • Child Controlled. We believe strongly in child choice, so we don't use frames or link to sites that might hinder a child's navigation. The downside of this is that your child can wander off into uncharted Internet territory. So keep an eye on the screen. Show your child the "BACK" arrow, so they know how to back their way through their choices.
  • Links That Work. This site is maintained on monthly schedule. If you notice dysfunctional links or would like to recommend a site, please contact us. Or you can send a message to our Editor, Bobbie Nester. She likes to hear about sites that should be considered for future LittleClickers columns.
  • Online and in Print. LittleClickers makes a great handout for schools and libraries. That's why we've granted permission for you to make copies (for non-profit use) of LittleClickers columns. Please call 908-284-0404 if you have questions about this policy.
  • The graphics in LittleClickers are the property of the various organizations and are used to provide visually recognizable links to their websites. Permission for further use of these graphics should be requested directly from each site.
